These five short pieces are an attempt at creating something like concrete poetry using mathematical symbols and structures drawn from five different areas of mathematics.
No knowledge of maths is needed from the listener or performer to appreciate the flow of sounds, perhaps like being able to enjoy listening to the shipping forecast without working in the shipping industry: my primary concern was how enunciations of the symbols might flow together musically rather than how to rigorously translate mathematical structures into sound and there are certainly passages where musicality was prioritised over grammatical correctness.
However, for those of a more mathematical inclination, deeper connections between material might be revealed that help explain certain choices I made.
