Taking inspiration from the act of listening itself, David Curington returns to the plunderphonic sound world that spawned mind maps and THE WAY (SQE001 and SQE003), this time extending the chaos to a single 26-minute musical span.

Assured Listening Experience is something between an ambient track, musique concrete, an electronic symphony in three movements, and the results of a corporate word cloud generated by the prompt “listening”, typed into a search engine, used as training data for audio producing AI, then automatically emailed as an 8-bit mp3 to a mastering engineer breaking down in tears.

Is listening simply a necessity for not getting bitten by dogs or run over by trains? Is it being a good counsellor? Is it justifiable only as self-improvement in service of economic productivity? At no stage is Curington ever sure. Maybe you will be assured. Or maybe not.
